What is Margin?

Margin is the amount of money required to place a trade. In Intraday trading, brokers provide "Leverage", allowing you to trade with more capital than you have.
For example, with 5x leverage, you can buy shares worth ₹50,000 with just ₹10,000.

Leverage limits are decided by SEBI and may vary across stocks. Typically, large-cap stocks get up to 5x intraday leverage, while mid/small-caps may get lower leverage.
